Salisa Foundation is a Section 8 non-profit company (CIN U85300HP2022NPL009262), registered at Vishwa Nath, VPO Bamta, Sadar, Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh – 174001. This policy explains how we handle personal data collected through this website, in accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

What we collect

• Personal details — full name, gender, date of birth, religion, category.
• Contact information — postal address, phone numbers, email address.
• Family and financial information — parents' names, phone numbers and annual income (used to evaluate financial-need criteria).
• Educational records — qualifications, board, subjects, marks and course preferences.
• Consent — a record of the consent you provide on the application form.

If the applicant is a minor, the application is processed on the understanding that a parent or lawful guardian has provided the information and consented on the minor's behalf.

Why we collect it

The data listed above is used solely to evaluate scholarship applications, verify eligibility, prepare merit lists, contact applicants for counselling, and administer the scholarship after selection. It is not used for advertising or marketing.

How long we keep it

Application data is retained for the duration of the selection cycle and for a reasonable period thereafter to respond to queries or audit requests. Data of selected scholars is retained for the duration of the scholarship and record-keeping obligations. You may request deletion at any point after the selection cycle closes, subject to applicable statutory retention requirements.

Who has access

Data is accessible only to authorised members of Salisa Foundation involved in the scholarship-evaluation process. We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with third parties outside the evaluation and counselling process, except where required by law.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you have the right to access, correct, and request erasure of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, or to raise a grievance, contact us at the address below.
