Creating Opportunities Through Education

A registered non-profit working to remove the financial barrier between capable students and higher education.

Who we are

A registered foundation, not a marketing story.

Salisa Foundation is a registered Section 8 non-profit company based in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, incorporated on 11 April 2022 under the Companies Act of India.

The Foundation exists to remove the financial barrier between capable students and higher education. Every year, students across Himachal Pradesh finish school with the marks to go further and stop anyway — not because of ability, but because of cost.

Salisa Foundation runs merit-based scholarship programmes that cover up to 100% of course fees at government universities, so that a student's family income stops deciding how far their education goes.

The challenge we're addressing

According to the All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE), India's Gross Enrolment Ratio in higher education is approximately 28% — meaning roughly 7 in 10 young people do not reach higher education at all.

Our approach

Five things we focus on.

1

Access

Advocating for the removal of barriers that keep eligible students out of college.

2

Affordability

Keeping education in essential fields aligned with families' real financial capacity.

3

Residential support

Providing residential programmes so students from remote areas can attend.

4

Utilising vacant seats

Working with state-affiliated government colleges to use seats that currently go unfilled.

5

Policy

Highlighting the need for policy revision that creates equal opportunity at state-affiliated colleges.

Leadership

The people behind the Foundation.

Reena

Director and Founder

It is my privilege to announce the launch of Salisa Foundation and to serve as its founding Director. We are here for one reason: Push to Education. We find meritorious children held back by money, and give them education, motivation, and the financial freedom to chase their potential.

Talent is everywhere. Opportunity isn't. We are here to change that.

This foundation belongs to all of us. Stand with us, mentor with us, build with us.

Founder and Director

At Salisa Foundation, we believe that talent should never be limited by circumstances. Our work is to identify promise, remove financial obstacles, and give young people the chance to build a future through education.

We partner with government institutions, communities, and supporters who share the same belief: that every deserving student deserves a seat in the classroom.

Join us in making education the bridge between potential and opportunity.
